The Florida Senate has passed the most significant overhaul of the Condo Laws in Florida in over 20 years. The reform bill is currently awaiting review by the House, which may come as early as today. These reforms, which are aimed to prevent another tragedy like the one in Surfside, will cause shifts in how condo associations function.
The reforms include the inability to waive reserves, additional inspections at 25 or 30 years, and more. Please take a moment to read the story and being preparing your community for these changes.
